The Storyline
From the meteor to Override
Chapter 1 Season 3 is where Fortnite stopped being a map and became a serial. This is the Island's story — every season from Meteor Strike through Chapter 7 Season 4: Override.
Chapter 1
Athena · 2017 — 2019

C1S3 · Season 3
Meteor Strike
22 February 2018 — 30 April 2018
A meteor appeared in the sky over Athena. Each week it grew. Dusty Depot sat in its path, and the whole Island started watching the same rock. This is where Fortnite stopped being a map and became a serial. Inside that meteor was a visitor from somewhere else — a man in a sealed suit who would later be known as The Visitor. Hop Rocks had not landed yet. The crack in the sky had not opened. But the Island had been put on a clock, and every Looper could see it.

Brace for Impact
1 May 2018 — 12 July 2018
The meteor hit. Dusty Depot became Dusty Divot overnight — a smoking crater of hop rocks and twisted steel. Movie sets bloomed across the Island as if reality itself had been rewritten as a blockbuster. In a secret villain lair, The Visitor repaired a rocket using parts scavenged from the impact. When that rocket launched, it did not just leave the atmosphere. It tore a rift in the sky. For the first time, the Loopers saw that their world was not closed. Something on the other side had noticed them.

Worlds Collide
12 July 2018 — 27 September 2018
The rift in the sky did not close. It pulled. A Viking village slammed down where farmland had been. A desert swallowed Retail's neighbor. The Durrr Burger restaurant was ripped off the Island and dumped in the sand. Drift — a kid from a parking lot in another reality — fell through a rift and woke up on Athena. Moisty Mire became a paradise. The message of Season 5 was simple and huge: the Island sits at a crossroads of worlds, and those worlds can be stolen, swapped, and stacked on top of each other.

Darkness Rises
27 September 2018 — 6 December 2018
A purple cube appeared. Loopers named it Kevin. It rolled. It hummed. It corrupted the ground it touched, then sank into Loot Lake and lifted the entire island in the lake into the air. Fortnitemares bled into the map. When the cube finally detonated, it left a giant rift over the water and a wound in the Island that would never fully heal. Kevin was not a prop. It was a seed of the Last Reality — a fragment of something that eats worlds — and it had just introduced itself.

You Better Watch Out
6 December 2018 — 28 February 2019
An iceberg crashed into the southwest. Polar Peak. Inside it: the Ice King, and a prisoner sealed in ice beneath the castle. Winter claimed a third of Athena. The Ice King did not arrive to play — he arrived to freeze. Polar Peak's castle, the frozen lake, and the first real 'king' of the Island set up a rivalry that would detonate two seasons later. The Prisoner watched from inside the ice, waiting for the thaw.

X Marks the Spot
28 February 2019 — 9 May 2019
The Prisoner broke free. A volcano punched through the southeast jungle. Pirates mapped the Island with an X. Treasure, jungle temples, and a mountain that would not stay quiet — Season 8 was the Island learning it could be unmade from below as easily as from above. The Prisoner and the Ice King were no longer legend. They were at war, and Tilted Towers sat in the blast radius of a volcano that had started to dream about erupting.

The Future Is Yours
9 May 2019 — 31 July 2019
Tilted Towers was rebuilt as Neo Tilted — glass, neon, mag-trains. Retail became Mega Mall. Pressure Plant clamped itself onto the volcano. The Prisoner and the Ice King finished their fight in the sky, and Singularity — a woman in a visor who understood the Island better than the kings did — stepped into the story. The future arrived too fast. Under the chrome, the volcano was still a bomb. At the end of the season it erupted, wiping Neo Tilted and Mega Mall off the map. The Island does not keep monuments. It keeps scars.

Out of Time
1 August 2019 — 13 October 2019
Rift Zones tore holes in time. Tilted Town. Greasy Grove from the past. A meteor frozen over Dusty. The Visitor returned — now The Scientist — with six others. The Seven. They built a series of rockets around the Island and aimed them at a meteor that was coming back for a second impact. On October 13, 2019, The End happened. Rockets, a meteor, a black hole. The Island was swallowed. For two days the only lobby was a void with a blinking cursor. Then someone typed a name, and a new world loaded.

Chapter 2
Apollo · 2019 — 2021

C2S1 · Season 1
New World
15 October 2019 — 20 February 2020
The black hole spat out Apollo — a wetter, wider, quieter Island. Sweaty Sands. Salty Springs reborn. Agent Jones watched from behind the glass of a facility that was not supposed to exist. Chapter 2 opened like a deep breath after a scream. The Loop was still running. The Zero Point was still under the map. And Jones, who would spend the next two years trying to keep this place from coming apart, had already started to fail.

Top Secret
20 February 2020 — 17 June 2020
Midas built The Agency in the middle of the Island and declared a spy war: Ghost versus Shadow. Every POI picked a side. Then Midas built The Device — a machine designed to stop the storm itself, to break the Loop. When he fired it, the sky tore and the sea answered. Water climbed the map. The Agency became an island in a flood. Midas did not break the Loop. He proved it could be wounded. And he proved that the people running this place — the Imagined Order — would rather drown the Island than let one man turn the storm off.

Splash Down
17 June 2020 — 27 August 2020
The flood was the whole season. The Agency floated and became The Authority. Coral grew in the streets. Motorboats replaced rotations. Week by week the water receded, revealing a changed Island and a power vacuum. Someone had tried to kill the storm. The storm had answered by trying to kill the Island. Chapter 2's middle chapter is a photograph of that standoff: Loopers learning to live on a drowning world while the people in charge argued about whose fault the water was.

Nexus War
27 August 2020 — 1 December 2020
Galactus found the Zero Point. Tony Stark landed on Apollo, built a super-collider of scrap and arrogance, and asked Loopers to charge it. Nexus War was the first time the Island's secret — that a raw engine of realities sat under the grass — became a public emergency. In the live event, the Battle Bus flew into the sky and players fought a Devourer of Worlds. They won. The cost was the Zero Point, ripped out of the ground and left naked in the center of the map, screaming.

C2S5 · Season 5
Zero Point
2 December 2020 — 16 March 2021
The Zero Point sat in the open like an unshielded reactor. Agent Jones was ordered to recruit hunters from other realities — Kratos, Sarah Connor, Snake Eyes, predators and legends — anyone who could keep Loopers away from the wound. A desert claimed the center of Apollo. Jones started to understand that the Imagined Order was not saving the Island. They were farming it. By the end of the season the Zero Point was beyond containing. Jones did the unthinkable: he asked the Foundation for help.

C2S6 · Season 6
Primal
16 March 2021 — 8 June 2021
Zero Crisis. Jones and the Foundation tried to re-seal the Zero Point. They failed. The explosion threw the Island backward into a primal age: bones, spires, hunters who spoke in glyphs. A Spire grew out of the wound. Raz touched it and was rewritten. Doctor Slone of the Imagined Order watched from orbit and decided the Loopers were the problem. Primal is the season the Island remembered it was older than the IO, older than the Seven, older than the Loop — and that the Zero Point does not like to be handled.

C2S7 · Season 7
Invasion
8 June 2021 — 13 September 2021
The Last Reality arrived in force. Abductors harvested the Island. A mothership parked in the sky. Slone armed the Loopers and used them as infantry in an IO war. Cubes — Kevin's siblings — fell from the mothership when it was finally brought down. Invasion is the season the Island learned the name of the thing that had been probing it since Season 6 of Chapter 1. The Last Reality does not colonize. It cubes. And the Cube Queen was already on her way.

C2S8 · Season 8
Cubed
13 September 2021 — 5 December 2021
The Cube Queen rose from the golden cube at the center of the corruption. The Sideways tore holes in daylight. The Seven returned in full — Foundation, Scientist, Visitor, Paradigm, Origin, Imagined, Order — and they had a plan so insane it worked: flip the Island. The End of Chapter 2 was not another explosion. It was a rotation. Loopers stood on the Battle Bus and watched Apollo turn over like a coin, the Cube Queen screaming as the world inverted. On the other side of the planet was a new island that had been waiting, face-down, the entire time.

Chapter 3
Artemis · 2021 — 2022

C3S1 · Season 1
Flipped
5 December 2021 — 20 March 2022
Artemis. Snow on one side, grass on the other, a Sanctuary for the Seven, and a Daily Bugle for a spider who fell out of another universe. The Foundation walked the Island in the open. The Imagined Order, stripped of their hidden basement, started building in public. Flipped is a sunrise season: the Loopers finally saw the people who had been running their lives, and both sides started drawing lines for a war that could not stay cold.

C3S2 · Season 2
Resistance
20 March 2022 — 5 June 2022
The war went hot. Tanks. Siege cannons. An IO airship. The Collider — a doomsday needle the Imagined Order built to destroy the Zero Point and every Looper with it. Resistance is Fortnite's war movie. The Seven armed the Island. Slone executed her own. In the Collision live event, a rebuilt Mecha fought the Collider while the Foundation punched through realities to confront Geno, the man who built the IO. The Island survived. The Loop did not break. Geno escaped. Nothing about that ending was peace. It was a ceasefire with the sky still smoking.

C3S3 · Season 3
Vibin'
5 June 2022 — 18 September 2022
After the war, the Island threw a party. Reality Falls. Raves. A Reality Tree growing out of the old wound. Vibin' is the exhale — and the warning. Chrome started to bloom in the corners. The Herald, a prophet of the Last Reality, was already walking toward the music. Loopers rolled on wildlife and pretended the Collider had been the last emergency. Under the dance floor, something chrome and patient was learning their names.

C3S4 · Season 4
Paradise
18 September 2022 — 4 December 2022
Chrome ate the Island. The Herald did not invade so much as refinish. POIs vanished under a mirror that could not be built on. The Reality Tree fought a losing fight. In Fracture, the Island did not flip and did not flood — it shattered. Loopers floated in fragments of Artemis among the stars while the Seven tried to hold the pieces. Chapter 3 ended with no ground left. Just a promise that the next world would be assembled from whatever snapshots they could steal from other realities before the chrome finished the job.

Chapter 4
Asteria · 2022 — 2023

C4S1 · Season 1
A New Beginning
4 December 2022 — 10 March 2023
Asteria was not born. It was collaged. A medieval kingdom, a snowy village, a modern farm — snapshots of other realities stitched around a Reality Tree. The Ageless sat on a throne that looked a lot like the Ice King's. AMIE, a new AI, started talking to Loopers. The Oathbound claimed the relics. A New Beginning is Fortnite admitting the Island is a construction, and then daring you to live in the construction anyway. Dirt bikes. Hurdling. Augments. A kingdom that knew it was made of spare parts.

C4S2 · Season 2
MEGA
10 March 2023 — 9 June 2023
MEGA City slammed into Asteria like a neon thesis. Grind rails. Peace Syndicate. A Japanese snapshot so dense it felt like a different game. Slone returned — not as IO brass, but as someone with a private war still burning. MEGA is Chapter 4 at full volume: the Island as a global city, the story humming underneath job and heist energy. The Reality Tree kept growing. The people who knew what it was kept quiet.

C4S3 · Season 3
WILDS
9 June 2023 — 25 August 2023
The center of Asteria exploded into jungle. Raptors. Ruins. A Zero Point shard pulsing under vines. WILDS is the Island growing a memory of the primal season and daring Loopers to go walk in it. Optimus Prime arrived as if the snapshots had started pulling legends on purpose. An eclipse crept across the sky. Something about time on Asteria was beginning to snag.

LAST RESORT
25 August 2023 — 3 November 2023
Kado Thorne — vampire, collector, time traveler — parked a citadel on the Island and filled it with things he had stolen from every season that ever happened. LAST RESORT is a heist movie with a time machine in the vault. Loopers robbed him. The eclipse became a wound. At the end of the season that time machine did the most dangerous thing in Fortnite: it worked. The original Island, the one the black hole ate, started to remember how to exist.

C4 OG · OG
Fortnite OG
3 November 2023 — 3 December 2023
Athena came home. Tilted. Moisty. The old bus. For a month Chapter 1 was not a memory, it was the map. Then the Big Bang: a black hole, a guitar, a rocket, and a universe that remixed itself in public. OG was not a season so much as a funeral with dancing. When it ended, the Island was gone again — and the next world was already being scored.

Chapter 5
Helios · 2023 — 2024

C5S1 · Season 1
Underground
3 December 2023 — 8 March 2024
Helios. Grand houses, a coastal train, and a class war. The Society — Montague, Valeria, Oscar, Nisha — owned the Island out loud. The Underground — Hope and Jones, stripped of IO rank and Seven myth — robbed them. Weapon mods. Recoil. A Mediterranean map that felt expensive. Underground is Jones at his lowest and Hope at her first move. The Zero Point was quiet. The people were not. That was new.

C5S2 · Season 2
Myths & Mortals
8 March 2024 — 24 May 2024
Valeria opened Pandora's Box. Olympus arrived as a problem, not a postcard. Zeus, Hades, Ares, Aphrodite — gods who treated Loopers as extras. Hope started becoming more than a thief. Myths & Mortals is the Society's greed punching a hole into legend, and the Island learning that some snapshots bite back. The Box did not close. It had more inside it than gods.

C5S3 · Season 3
Wrecked
24 May 2024 — 16 August 2024
The rest of the Box was a desert. Sandstorm. Nitro. Cars as weapons. Megalo Don and the Wasteland Warriors claimed the rust. Wrecked is Chapter 5 with the paint sanded off — Hope and Jones still moving through a world that had been luxurious five minutes ago. The Society's mansions looked ridiculous in a dune. That was the point.

C5S4 · Season 4
Absolute Doom
16 August 2024 — 2 November 2024
Doctor Doom took a castle and then took the season. Marvel's worst monarch decided the Island was a throne. Heroes dropped in as resistance. Absolute Doom is Helios under occupation: latverian banners, a god-complex, and Hope still trying to finish the fight she started in the Underground. When Doom was finally pushed, Chapter 5 did not get a quiet night. It got remixed.

REMIX · Remix
Chapter 2 Remix
2 November 2024 — 1 December 2024
Apollo came back with a soundtrack. Snoop, Eminem, Ice Spice, and a weekly remix of the Chapter 2 island that treated POIs like singles. Remix was a victory lap and a handoff. Jones walked a map he had already bled on, this time with a bass line. When the last track ended, the Island packed itself for somewhere that had never been on a Fortnite loading screen: a land of demons, shrines, and hunters.

Chapter 6
Oninoshima · 2024 — 2025

C6S1 · Season 1
Hunters
1 December 2024 — 21 February 2025
Oninoshima. Shrines, bamboo, a spirit world leaking into the grass. Loopers woke up as hunters. Night Rose. A Shogun. Sprites that were not quite pets and not quite gods. Hunters is Fortnite going mythic without borrowing someone else's pantheon — a new island with its own rules of magic, and a darkness (the kind that does not need a cube) moving behind the paper walls. The story of Jones and Hope did not end. It changed dialects.

C6S2 · Season 2
Lawless
21 February 2025 — 2 May 2025
Fletcher Kane built banks on a magic island and dared the Loopers to rob them. Trains. Outlaws. Big Dill dropping a single in the middle of a crime wave. Lawless is Oninoshima with the spiritual volume turned down and the criminal volume turned up — proof that even a land of demons will grow a crime syndicate if you give it a week. The heists were the fun. The bill was coming.

C6 GB · Galactic Battle
Galactic Battle
2 May 2025 — 7 June 2025
The Empire parked on Oninoshima. Lightsabers. Palpatine in the shadows. A galactic reckoning dropped into a season that had been about demons and banks five minutes earlier. Galactic Battle is a mini-season with max stakes: the Island as a Star Wars battlefield, heroes striking back, the fate of this particular world hanging on whether Loopers could hold a trigger and a hilt at the same time.

C6S3 · Season 3
Super
7 June 2025 — 7 August 2025
Capes on Oninoshima. Super is the Island deciding the only reasonable response to gods, demons, and emperors is to become one. Fresh heroes. Familiar villains. Powers as loadout. Under the comic-book lighting, the older story — Jones, Hope, the people who remember the Zero Point — kept moving. Superheroes are what the Loop looks like when it wants to feel in control.

C6S4 · Season 4
Shock 'N Awesome
7 August 2025 — 1 November 2025
The bugs came. Hive structures. Military kits. A season that advertised itself as the buggiest on purpose. Shock 'N Awesome is invasion cinema again, but the invaders have mandibles this time. Loopers went from superheroes to exterminators without changing outfits. By November the swarm was contained enough to make room for the strangest snapshot yet — a town called Springfield.

C6 MS2 · The Simpsons
The Simpsons
1 November 2025 — 29 November 2025
Springfield crashed into Battle Royale. The house on Evergreen Terrace. The nuclear plant. Burns Manor. A mini-season that treated the Island like a couch gag. The Simpsons did not resolve the Zero Point. They did something Fortnite has always been able to do in the gaps between apocalypses: they made the Loop funny again. Then the Golden Coast called, and Chapter 6 took a bow.

Chapter 7
Pacific Break · 2025 — 2026

C7S1 · Season 1
Pacific Break
29 November 2025 — 19 March 2026
Chapter Seven opened on the Golden Coast — Hollywood hills, Pacific light, a new island built for stories. Pacific Break said it out loud: this is where the greatest stories are told. Wingsuits. A rebuilt Battle Pass. Jones and Hope walked into a map that wanted to be a movie. Under the sunshine, older names were already in motion. The Foundation. The Ice King. Geno. The Zero Point, which never stays buried. Chapter 7's first season is the setup: a beautiful coast, and a plot already in pre-production.

Showdown
19 March 2026 — 5 June 2026
Pick a side. The Foundation or the Ice King. Showdown turned the Golden Coast into a rivalry map — two myths who had been circling each other since Polar Peak and the Seven's war, finally in the same shot. Loopers were not extras this time. They were the tie-breaker. When the confrontation ended, the Foundation was gone. The Ice King was not the only one who walked away with blood on him. Someone else had used the noise.

C7S3 · Season 3
Runners
6 June 2026 — 20 August 2026
The Zero Point cracked the sky and reassembled the Island into a warped new reality. Sprites everywhere. Runners. Slone returned as The Innovation. The Singularity — Mecha pilot, Season 9 ghost — joined the Seven. Jones was shot by a traitor wearing a Visitor's face: Geno, founder of the Imagined Order, hiding in the suit of the man who once saved the Island. Hope uncovered it. A Stabilizer was built from sprite energy. When they fired it, Geno and the Dark Voyager used a backdoor, stole the Zero Point, and left a giant game cartridge in its place. The Unstable live event closed the season. The Island was still standing. The engine of realities was not on it.

Override
20 August 2026 — 31 October 2026
Override the system. Take back the Island. Stop Geno before it is GAME OVER. Season 4 turns the stolen Zero Point into a video-game crisis: a cartridge where an engine of realities used to be, retro worlds bleeding onto the Golden Coast, Gaming Legends from Sonic to Mega Man dropping into the fight. The Dark Voyager wants a dominion. Geno wants a rewrite. Jones is still healing. Hope is done being late. The mission is not another war for the storm. It is a jailbreak of the Loop itself — break the rules, change the game, and bring the Zero Point home before the Island forgets it was ever real.
